Trump dismisses his “Homeland” Minister Noem, Senator from Oklahoma is to be his successor

Donald Trump is restructuring part of his government. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who also came under fire within her own party for the behavior of the anti-migrant unit ICE, has to take her hat off. Noem was once governor of South Dakota and was for a time considered a possible candidate for vice president under Trump. She probably lost her chances of doing so with, among other things, a bizarre autobiography in which she boasted that she once shot her dog and a goat, largely for no reason. In her role in the ministerial office, she also relied on demonstrative, malicious and deterrent actions. Her visit to the CECOT prison in El Salvador at the beginning of her term in office, where she had herself photographed in front of the incarcerated prisoners, is particularly remembered. During Noem’s tenure, the number of deaths in immigration detention rose to its highest level in two decades
