A member of the CPMI, says that the new revelations in the Master case show that it is necessary to create a new specific commission to investigate the scandal.
“This is data that cannot be left out of context, needs to be analyzed and reinforces the need to open a specific CPI”, he says.
This week, the commission created to investigate social security deviations received information about Vorcaro’s breach of confidentiality, since Master also worked in the payroll loan sector.
“This information goes beyond the purpose of this CPI. Master’s case is much more complex, it also involves misuse of financial system resources, unbacked CDBs, the use of the guarantee fund in a frivolous manner, promiscuous negotiation with the Central Bank. This should not be treated sideways”, assesses Marinho.
According to him, asking for a CPI from the Master is making a bet on rationality. “It is the role of Parliament, acting in a complementary way to the Judiciary”, he says,
Despite the pressure and new revelations, the presidents of , (União-AP) and Câmara, (-PB) resist authorizing the commission. For now, the Master case is being investigated by the INSS and Organized Crime CPIs.
