Increase comes after Donald Trump declares that he will continue the conflict until Iran’s ‘total surrender’

At 2pm GMT (11am in Brasília), the barrel of Brent, an international oil reference, rose 5.33% to $89.96 (R$ 472, at the current price), shortly after reaching 90.25 dollars per barrel (R$ 473.28), its highest level since April 2024.
Its American equivalent, a barrel of West Texas Intermediate, registered an increase of 8.09% to 87.56 dollars (R$ 459).
New attacks hit Iran and Lebanon this Friday, on the seventh day of clashes in the Middle East, while Israel said it intends to intensify the offensive. In response, Tehran declared having hit targets in Tel-Aviv, increasing the escalation of the conflict in the region.
Israel launches airstrikes
Israel launched airstrikes against several cities in southern Lebanon. “Enemy warplanes carried out nighttime bombing raids on the cities of Srifa, Aita al-Shaab, Touline, Sawana and Majdal Selm,” Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported on Friday.
The Israeli military also said it had completed a wave of large-scale airstrikes in Dahiya, a densely populated area south of Beirut considered a Hezbollah stronghold. According to the Israeli military, the bombings hit ten buildings and several command centers used by the group.
Another attack targeted the city of Dours, in the east of the country.
Iran launches missiles at Tel Aviv
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced a new wave of launches missiles against the Tel Aviv shopping center, in Israel, according to the Iranian state agency IRNA. According to the statement, the “combined missile and drone attack targets locations in the heart” of the city.
This Friday, several explosions were heard over the commercial center of Tel Aviv, AFP journalists reported, after the Israeli military reported the detection of new missiles launched from Iran towards Israeli territory.
“Recently, the Israel Defense Forces identified missiles launched from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel. Defense systems are operating to intercept the threat,” the Israeli Army said in a statement.
