A 31-year-old man, identified as Sidney L. da Silva, was injured after being stabbed this afternoon (6), in a residence located on Rua Maria Elza Castelo, in the Cidade do Povo housing complex, in the capital of Acre.
According to witness reports, Sidney, who is serving a sentence under electronic monitoring, was at home with his partner when the couple started an argument. During the disagreement, the man allegedly started attacking the woman using a chain.
According to information from local residents, the woman reacted to the alleged attacks and grabbed a knife, hitting Sidney in the rib area.
Neighbors stated that arguments between the couple would be frequent, which had already drawn the attention of residents in the area on other occasions.
After the incident, SAMU was called and sent an advanced support ambulance to the scene. The team performed the first care and sent the man to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) of the Second District.
The Military Police were never called to the incident. The case may be investigated by the Civil Police.
