The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Friday, 6th, that he had “a very productive meeting with the largest defense manufacturing companies in the USA, where we discussed production and schedules”.
In a post on the Truth Social network, the Republican said that the companies agreed to quadruple the production of “exquisite” class weapons. According to him, there is a quest to reach, as quickly as possible, the highest levels of production of these models.
“The expansion began three months before the meeting, and the factories and production of many of these weapons are already underway. We have a practically unlimited supply of medium and upper-middle grade ammunition, which we are using, for example, in Iran and, recently, in Venezuela”, he pointed out. Regardless, we have also increased orders at these levels, he said.
The companies represented were BAE Systems, Boeing, Honeywell Aerospace, L3Harris Missile Solutions, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon, Trump noted. “The meeting concluded with another meeting scheduled for two months from now. States across the country are competing to host these new factories”, he indicated.
