The new season begins on the windowsill
The period when yogurt cups and seed trays begin to pile up on the windowsills has a special charm. It’s like a home laboratory, where we anxiously watch every millimeter of moved clay.
This will appear first timid little boywhich does not break and suddenly straightens up and the seedling is out. They are the first to welcome us cotyledons. They are actually the first energy stores that a plant has, and they look the same for almost everything. They are inconspicuous, smooth and usually have nothing to do with what the plant will look like in adulthood.
It is only a few days later that they start clubbing right leafwhich already bears the typical teeth, hairs or shaping, by which the plant can already be identified quite well.
