The iconic dance show returns to TV Markíza in a special 11th series. The new season called Let’s Dance: The Best of the Best will start on Sunday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m. Prominent personalities from previous years will once again appear on the dance floor: Ján Koleník, Jakub Jablonský, Kristián Baran, Vladimír Kobielsky, Juraj Mokrý, Nela Pocisková, Gabika Marcinková, Petra Polnišová, Zuzana Porubjaková and Jana Hospodárová.
Pre actor Ján Koleník spoke with musician Teri Čikoš at the Let’s Dance opening party on March 4 in Bratislava.
How did he feel at the party right before the show started? “Well, that’s great. I don’t really like social events. I’m an introvert, an extroverted introvert. When necessary, I like to switch to the extroverted position. But even when I went here, I said to myself that it fits together so well that we are now going to basically present what we have been training and preparing for for three months, and above all, we are sincerely looking forward to it. So everything fell into place for me tonight, I’m satisfied and happy.” said the actor, whom fans call a dance god and sex symbol.
Did he feel nostalgic on the dance floor? “Yes, it is a certain rebirth, that they invited me back again, so there is some gratitude. And I really like this show and every year even after my 2022 year I participated in that show. Whether as a performer, judge, etc. So I was still somehow there and when Pepe Majeský, the creative producer and director, called me sometime in May, I was so euphoric that what we consider to happen only once in a lifetime is going to happen again and I don’t care if we get to I don’t know what round. I said to myself that you should enjoy and be happy about it now,” the famous dance partner of the acting queen of the dance floor, Dominika Rošková, expressed his feelings.
He is very much looking forward to the entire broadcasts and will introduce himself there with his beloved colleagues. “Which round do we get to? This is exactly how I look forward. Not to worry about what will be and what can be, but to enjoy the moment. Because this year has a chance to create something truly magical. There will be 1800 people in the auditorium. And we already experienced it during the tour. We know what it is when the whole hall applauds, when the whole hall is absolutely silent. And as an actor, I love these energies,” admitted Koleník.
What does he expect? “I am very curious, we are expecting. We saw that hall for the first time today. It’s huge, it’s exclusive, and we’re really looking forward to it. So we live in the moment, we don’t know what tomorrow holds. The world is what it is. That’s why I can’t ambitiously want to stay in the competition until I don’t know what round. Let’s live and enjoy this present moment,” says Janko Koleník to the audience.
