The Hütteldorfers celebrated a flattering 1-0 home win over Red Bull Salzburg with a goal from Janis Antiste (38th). As a result, the Bulls lost the lead in the table and entered the decisive phase of the season in second place, while Rapid improved to fifth place with the win. For Green-White it was only the fourth success over the former series champion in the most recent 39 championship duels. And in front of only 14,570 fans, the west block of the Rapid annex had to remain empty due to the partial closure of the stadium as a result of the riots in the Vienna derby at Austria.
