A single-engine plane crashed this Sunday afternoon (8) after hitting electrical wiring before impact. The 41-year-old pilot of the aircraft died at the scene.
According to the Fire Department, the accident occurred on a rural property in the Campo Novo region, in the municipality of Pienin the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba. After the crash, the aircraft became trapped in trees and the area was isolated for forensic work.

At the time of the accident, the region was experiencing heavy rain. Data Simepar point out that the local hydrological station recorded 13 millimeters of rain in the late afternoon, 9.4 millimeters in an interval of just 15 minutes.
The owner of the area where the fall occurred called emergency services shortly after the impact. Rescue teams were sent to the scene, but the pilot succumbed to his injuries.

According to information obtained by RPCthe pilot was the only occupant of the aircraft. The plane had taken off from Central Trombudo bound for Piên, and the official identity of the victim has not yet been released by the authorities.
