Designer Outlet Algarve, in Loulé, is preparing to welcome a new reference brand in the world of sport. NIKE will open a store in the largest outlet in the region, scheduled to open in May 2026, reinforcing the commercial offer linked to sport, lifestyle and performance.
The new store will be located in one of the center’s main entrances, close to the New Balance and Adidas stores, occupying an area of more than 1,000 square meters.

The commercial offer will include footwear, clothing and accessories for men, women and children, ranging from technological solutions aimed at sports – such as running, training and team sports – to urban streetwear and lifestyle proposals. The new store, therefore, aims to respond to both sports practitioners and consumers who use the brand on a daily basis.
The general director of Designer Outlet Algarve, José Pereira, highlights the importance of the new opening for the positioning of the shopping center: “The arrival of NIKE represents an important step for Designer Outlet Algarve. We are witnessing a growing demand for wellness and active living throughout the year, and NIKE responds exactly to that, serving both the high-performance athlete and those looking for style and comfort. This investment reinforces our sports segment and elevates the experience we offer to an increasingly demanding public, crossing generations and responding to locals and national and international tourists”.
Strategy focuses on growth and active lifestyle
The opening of the new store is part of the expansion strategy of Designer Outlet Algarve, a space operated by ROS Retail Outlet Shopping and integrated into the Ingka Group Shopping Complex.
According to the center’s management, the focus on strengthening the offer linked to sport follows current consumer trends associated with well-being, physical activity and a contemporary lifestyle, factors that are increasingly present in the choices of residents and visitors to the region.

With this new opening, Designer Outlet Algarve intends to expand the diversity of brands available and reinforce the attractiveness of the space for national and international audiences.
