Russia ready to supply oil and gas to Europe after energy crisis in the Middle East

The Russian President expressed his willingness to sell Russian gas and oil to Europe, after the war in Iran triggered a global energy crisis that caused oil prices to increase by 30%.

Vladimir Putin declares that the Strait of Hormuz is closed and admits selling Russian gas and oil to Europe. The Russian President says the triggered a global energy crisis and the global price of oil has increased by around 30 percent in recent weeks.

After a meeting with the Kremlin, Putin said Russia is “ready to work with Europeans on the supply of oil and gas” but needs “certain signals” from leaders for that to happen.

Russia is the world’s second largest oil exporter and holds the largest natural gas reserves in the world.

Vladimir Putin stated that Russia is willing to return to work with European clients if they want to return to long-term and non-politicized cooperation.

Putin further added that Russian companies should take advantage of the although he acknowledged that the rise in energy prices may be temporary.
