Iran’s foreign minister mocks the US operation, calling it a stunning mistake. It underlines the sharp rise in oil prices after the US attacks.
In a post on the social network X on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi mockingly called the American military operation an Epic Mistake. He pointed to the rise in oil prices caused by the operation officially called Epic Fury, writes TASR.
“After nine days of Operation Stunning Mistake, oil prices have doubled while all commodity prices are soaring. We know the US is planning attacks on our oil and nuclear facilities in hopes of preventing a massive inflationary shock. Iran is ready for it,” Arákchi wrote on the X Network, adding that “they too have many surprises in store.”
Oil prices rose sharply after the start of the conflict in Iran on February 28. Its producers in the Middle East are limiting production, as tanker traffic in the Strait of Hormuz is almost stopped.
