The government’s Criminal Police (Republicans) opened an internal investigation to identify who was responsible for the São Paulo leak.

In the images that were made public last week, Vorcaro appears with his hair trimmed and without a beard, wearing a white t-shirt in front of a height measurement panel – standard entry record in prison units.
The scene drew attention due to its contrast with the previous image of the businessman, known for his thick hair and full beard, as well as wearing a suit and formal shirt.
The release of the images angered members of the SAP leadership (Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration), as the leak occurred despite the caution adopted by the ministry to try to prevent the exposure of this type of record.
The Panel found that SAP has protocols for handling photographs, from the moment they are registered at the prison of entry to their custody and storage in internal systems, with access control and consultations.
Still, despite reinforcing this precaution to be taken, at some point in this flow, the images ended up leaking.
The investigation, which has no deadline to be completed, can lead to administrative punishment for the offender (in extreme cases, up to dismissal) and also criminal punishment.
According to the Tarcísio administration, the case is monitored by the Criminal Police internal affairs department.
“The Penitentiary Administration Secretariat emphasizes that the personal data and images of all those held in custody in the São Paulo prison system are protected under current legislation and that there are no differentiated protocols for individual cases”, says a note sent by the government.
