Bank employees died in Tehran, banks will be attacked. US military base in Kuwait was hit.
As forces armed forces of Iran will pass to target banks and financial institutions in the region after death of bank employees em Tehran in an Israeli-American attack, the Iranian joint command announced today.
The warning was issued by the al-Anbiya headquarters in Tehran, headquarters of the joint command of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, according to the North American news agency.
It followed reports in the Iranian media about the deaths of bank employees in Tehran during the Israeli and United States offensive launched on February 28.
The threat puts Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, which hosts numerous international financial institutions, as well as the kingdoms of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain at particular risk, according to AP.
US base
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard announced that launched missiles at a US military base in KuwaitIranian news agencies Mehr and Fars reported.
“The US base in Arifjan was hit by two missiles fired” by the Revolutionary Guards, Iranian news agencies said, although Kuwait has not officially confirmed the attack.
Located south of Kuwait City, the Arifjan base houses the advanced headquarters of the land component of the US Army Central Command (Centcom), responsible for the Middle East.
Drones near the airport
Two drones coming from Iran reached a area close to Dubai International Airportin the United Arab Emirates, injuring four people, although flights continued to operate, authorities said.
The Dubai Press Office, which issues statements on behalf of the city-state’s government, said the attack caused “minor injuries to two Ghanaian citizens and a Bangladeshi citizen, and moderate injuries to an Indian citizen.”
The statement also highlighted that flights continue to operate.
Ship near the Strait of Hormuz
Maritime safety agency UKMTO, which oversees the safety of ships and sailors around the world, said a container ship was hit by a projectile near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the UKMTO, which is under the supervision of the United Kingdom army, the captain reported that the vessel was damaged, but that all crew members were safe.
The ship was hit by an “unidentified projectile” 25 nautical miles (46 kilometers) northwest of Ras Al Khaimah, off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.
Leader injured but saved
Iran’s new supreme leader, , is “safe and sound” despite the injuries, said the son of the Iranian President, on the messaging platform Telegram.
“I heard reports that Mr Mojtaba Khamenei had been injured,” wrote Yousef Pezeshkian, son of Masoud Pezeshkian.
“I asked some friends who have contacts with him. They told me that, thank God, he is safe and sound“, added Yousef, who is also a Government advisor.
Mojtaba Khamenei, religious leader of Iran, was allegedly injured during the attack that killed his fatherthe ‘ayatollah’, on the first day of the Israeli-North American offensive, on February 28th.
But details about the severity of Mojtaba Khamenei’s injuries are unknown, and the new supreme leader has not appeared in public since.
