So far, the Lebanese news agency has reported at least “six violent attacks” to the southern suburbs of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold, with popular reports of explosions and the sighting of smoke columns.
On March 2, Lebanon was drawn into the regional conflict triggered on February 28 by a conflict between the United States and Israel and Iran, when the pro-Iranian Hezbollah launched an attack on Israel, which has since been intensely bombing the country.
In ten days, the war between Israel and Hezbollah left more than 634 dead – including 91 women and 47 children – and 1,586 injured in Lebanon, and the total number of displaced people reached 816 thousand, 126 thousand of whom are housed in reception centers.
