In Ilava, there was an unexpected twist in the brutal murder of a 54-year-old man. According to information police arrested and charged his 29-year-old girlfriend, who initially discovered the body.
The tragedy occurred on Thursday, when a man was attacked with more than twenty stab wounds. The police confirmed that the woman was supposed to have deliberately caused the death of her partner with a sharp object on the ground floor of the family home.
“Based on the investigation carried out so far, it was found that a 29-year-old woman, on Thursday night, on the ground floor of the family house, intentionally killed her 54-year-old boyfriend by inflicting multiple stab and stab wounds on his body with a sharp object, as a result of which his death was caused,” the police said.
The perpetrator was arrested the same day and placed in a cell. The investigator also submitted a motion for her to be prosecuted and the file was taken over by the prosecutor of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Trenčín. “The investigator of the Criminal Police Department of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Trenčín, after completing procedural acts, charged the 29-year-old perpetrator with a particularly serious crime of murder, and at the same time a motion was processed for her custodial prosecution. The file was taken over by the prosecutor of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Trenčín,” they added.
Police patrols and paramedics arrived at the scene of the tragedy, which happened right in the family house near the main road. However, they could no longer help the man. “Today in the morning, the police received a report that in one of the family houses in the city of Ilava the body of a man was found without signs of life, who should have died as a result of the violent actions of another person. The operations officer immediately sent police patrols to the scene, which the matter checked and confirmed” said the spokesman of the police in Trenčín, Alexander Svat.
The police took an elderly man away from the scene of the murder, who was not handcuffed, but had protective bags on all the time. These are commonly used when taking impressions, swabs or biological samples from under the nails.
The police initially also detained two men, but they were released after an investigation was conducted when their involvement was ruled out. The whole case is now being handled by the criminal police.
