Ponta de São Lourenço, Madeira

The erotic session took place in Ponta de São Lourenço, a protected natural area and one of the most visited spots on the island, by tourists and hikers. IFCN says it has not received any requests, and would have refused if it had.

The situation is not new for Madeirans, but this time images and videos of a photo session with several naked women at Cais do Sardinha, in Ponta de São Lourençowhich are circulating in WhatsApp groups and other social networks.

The released material, whose date of capture is not known, shows a group of women posing without clothes among rocks, by the sea, in one of the most emblematic places on the east coast of the archipelago, where many residents and tourists access the sea.

In the images it is possible to see several people dressed, apparently linked to the production of the content, handling cameras and other technical equipment, and following the preparation of the session. In one of the videos, team members are seen organizing the photographic frame, while some participants undress before the photography begins.

According to him, the session would have taken place in the pedestrian area close to the pier, an area very popular with visitors and walkers who follow the Ponta de São Lourenço trail.

Cais do Sardinha is part of a protected natural area and is considered one of the main points of tourist interest in Madeira. Located at the eastern end of the island, it serves as a resting place and access to the sea after the pedestrian trail. And it is also a point frequently associated with rescue operations throughout the year.

The dissemination of images raises questions about the use of protected natural spaces for photographic productions, especially when they involve organized teams and possible commercial or promotional purposes.

In classified areas, this type of activity requires prior authorization of the entities responsible for managing the territory, namely environmental organizations and regional authorities, but it has not been possible to ascertain, until now, the identity of the participants nor the specific objective of the photographic production — DN Madeira questioned the Institute of Forests and Nature Conservation (IFCN) about the possible existence of a license to hold the session on site, but received no response.

A, in turn, states that no authorization was ever requested to IFCN to make content of this nature on the island, and that, if a request had been made, it would have been refused by the entity.

The channel, citing tourism businesspeople, also adds that Madeira has emerged in “informal circuits linked to the sex tourism“. They are sold holiday packages with stays in luxury villas and escort services.

Many of the women who appear in the content will be minors and foreignersdiz a TVI.
