Leading florist and make-up artist Ivan Bednárik, whom Slovaks know from Telerán in the Marquesas, has a problem. He is currently wanted by the police. His photo appeared on the website patranie.sk. According to the portal alleged frauds connected with his business and entrepreneurship are supposed to be the reason.
Shortly after the information about the arrest warrant circulated in the media, Bednárik spoke out. “I called the police, nothing is happening… I called them on Wednesday, I have a meeting on Monday, it’s because I didn’t receive the judgment from the court, I didn’t pick up the yellow paper two or three times, so… In that case, the police will start looking for you,” he clarified. He did not want to share the details. “I have to take it over. I am communicating with the police. They also called me yesterday and I made an appointment with them for Monday,” he added.
What does an arrest warrant mean?
An arrest warrant appears under Bednárika’s name as the reason for the search. It is a means of ensuring the participation of the accused in criminal proceedings, if any of the reasons for detention are given and if his summons, presentation or detention is not considered, to ensure his presence at the hearing or other action.
