Mendonça orders the contents of Vorcaro’s cell phone to be removed from the INSS CPI safe room

The Minister of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) André Mendonça determined, this Monday, that no member of the INSS CPMI has access to the material stored in a commission safe room containing equipment and documents seized from the investigated Daniel Bueno Vorcaro, within the scope of Operation Compliance Zero. The minister also ordered the Federal Police to remove equipment stored on site.

In the decision, Mendonça states that the measure is necessary to preserve the confidentiality of aspects of the private life of the person being investigated. As a result, the content gathered by the parliamentary committee will be temporarily inaccessible until a more detailed analysis of the data is carried out.

When ordering the Federal Police to remove the equipment stored at the site, in collaboration with the CPMI presidency, Mendonça orders that a new sorting of the seized material be carried out. The objective is to separate any content that concerns exclusively Vorcaro’s private life, preventing this information from being shared with parliamentarians.

“The Federal Police must, in interinstitutional collaboration with the Presidency of CPMI-INSS, remove all equipment that is stored in the aforementioned location to carry out a new and careful separation of the existing data, so that any content that exclusively concerns the private life of the aforementioned investigated person is not shared with the aforementioned Parliamentary Commission”, says Mendonça in the order.

Vorcaro is being investigated in Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates possible irregularities involving his actions and relationships with structures under investigation. The CPI was created to investigate fraud involving associative discounts applied directly to the benefits of INSS retirees and pensioners.
