The president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, to avoid his defeat in the Parliament in the vote this Friday. This was reported by the Partit dels Socialistes and ERC in a joint statement this morning in which they say that they have agreed to give themselves more time to continue negotiating. ERC is committed to approving them before the summer.

ERC and PSC have also announced in a statement that a single credit supplement will be approved “immediately” with the aim of having the necessary resources to make public services function properly. “We are committed to continuing to promote the negotiations and the legislative modifications necessary to make the investiture pacts effective,” both parties stated in a joint statement this Wednesday. The statement comes after meetings of the executives of both parties this Wednesday morning.

The statement indicates that the two parties are giving themselves more time to agree on the accounts and set a new deadline: July 31. This date is when the current session of the Parliament ends.
