The Municipal Market of São Brás de Alportel will host, next Sunday, between 10:00 and 19:00, the second edition of Mercado do Caldeirão, an initiative that brings together flavors, traditions and crafts from Serra do Caldeirão.
Organized by the Confraria Gastronomica da Serra do Caldeirão, in partnership with the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, the event invites the public to discover the products and knowledge of this mountainous territory. Entry is free.
Regional products and know-how highlighted
Throughout the day, producers and farmers from Serra do Caldeirão are present with a diverse offer that includes honey, olive oil, spirits, liqueurs, sausages, cheeses and traditional crafts.
In this second edition, the market reinforces the variety of products, with special emphasis on wines, spirits, liqueurs and peppers, expanding the gastronomic and cultural experience offered to visitors.

Mercado do Caldeirão is spread across several themed areas, providing an immersive experience in the flavors and traditions of the region.
In the “cellar”, Algarve wines, liqueurs and craft beers will be available, with more than 30 references from around 10 producers. The wine presentation will be led by winemaker Gilmar Brito, including the presence of Villa Oeiras liqueur wine.
The “alambique” offers tastings of carob gin, medronho and brandy, while the “orchard” brings together fruits, vegetables, flowers and jellies. The “fumeiro” highlights traditional sausages and snacks, and the “garden” brings together agricultural products, regional sweets and handicrafts in different materials.
Live gastronomy and musical entertainment
The program includes gastronomic demonstrations by Ana Rita Clemente, Pedro Santos and Rosana Amaral, who will present traditional recipes and flavors.
The musical entertainment will be provided by the groups Vozes do Barrocal and Carolas, ensuring a festive atmosphere throughout the day.
