The businessman Julio Martínez Martínez, within the framework of the investigation into Plus Ultra and who is a personal friend of former president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, has presented a medical report in order not to attend the investigative commission of the Koldo case in the Senate that promotes the PP. This was the third time that Alberto Núñez-Feijóo’s party tried to formalize an appearance with Martínez that never materialized because the Ministry of the Interior alleged that they did not find the businessman who is being investigated in the National Court.
The Senate summons, as EL PAÍS has been able to confirm, has already been made official and delivered to Julio Martínez Martínez, who was arrested by agents of the Economic and Fiscal Crime Unit (UDEF) of the Police along with the president of Plus Ultra, Julio Martínez Sola; to the company’s CEO, Roberto Roselli, and to a Madrid lawyer. Martínez, however, has presented a medical report in which he alludes that he is on sick leave. Both the president of the airline and former president Zapatero have already appeared in this investigation commission that, initially, focused on the Koldo casebut which has become the stage for summoning different people involved in different current corruption schemes.
