Edmonton/Philadelphia (Pennsylvania)/Saint Paul (Minnesota) – The Philadelphia Flyers are just one win away from advancing to the NHL quarterfinals. After a 5-2 home win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, they lead 3-0 in the best of seven series in the North American Ice Hockey League play-offs. The Penguins are once again under pressure away from home in the Eastern Conference on Saturday. The Dallas Stars made it 2-1 thanks to a 4-3 win in the second overtime against Minnesota. Anaheim equalized to 1-1 against Edmonton.
