Erika Hilton calls for investigation into STF ministers in the Master case

Deputy cites Toffoli and Moraes’ relations with Banco Master and defends removal of the trial

The federal deputy (Psol-SP) requested an investigation into the conduct of the ministers of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and the case involving the . The statement was made in an interview with Metropolises on Wednesday (March 18, 2026). According to the congresswoman, the situation could affect the image of the Court.

The case involves the hiring of a lawyer, Moraes’ wife, to defend the bank in a case with fees of R$129 million. Toffoli admitted to being a partner in a family company, Maridt, which sold a stake in a resort to funds linked to Master.

Hilton also cited information released by the press about alleged messages sent by the banker Daniel Vorcaro to Moraes before his arrest. The deputy stated that there is no proof of the exchange of messages and defended an investigation to verify whether there was a relationship between the businessman and the minister.

The congresswoman said that the case requires transparency from the STF. According to her, the episode occurs at a time when Court decisions have great political and institutional repercussions.

Regarding Toffoli, Hilton stated that the minister should distance himself from any analysis related to the case. For the deputy, the measure would avoid questions about a possible conflict of interest in the trial. “The best thing you can do is not participate in any type of vote or discussion, stay away from the Master case”, he stated.
