If one day it becomes necessary to open Ludwig van Beethoven’s coffin, the researchers could make a presentation to the Vienna Music Association. There is not the final resting place of the genius there, but there is an ornate object that, due to its function, is reminiscent of a gimmick from the Indiana-Jones-Films make you think: a delicate key that can be used to open the metal coffin in which Beethoven’s bones rest in Vienna’s Central Cemetery.
