UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos) has remaining vacancies open for the IV Specialization Course in Palliative Care.
Classes will begin on March 28th, in a distance format, with simultaneous meetings (online and live) that will take place monthly on Saturdays and Sundays.
The course is aimed at related areas, offering an interdisciplinary approach. The training is based on scientific evidence and the humanization of care for people with serious and life-threatening illnesses.
Lasting 18 months, a total of 420 hours. The program also includes two face-to-face moments at UFSCar, scheduled for May 2026 and August 2027.
The teaching staff is made up of professors from UFSCar and other institutions, all with academic experience and work in the area of palliative care. The course coordination is in charge of professors Esther Angélica Luiz Ferreira, from DMed (Department of Medicine), and Tatiana Barbieri Bombarda, from DTO (Department of Occupational Therapy) at UFSCar.
Registration for the remaining vacancies remains open until classes are filled. The course is not free and requires an investment of 19 installments (registration plus 18 monthly fees) of R$719, with payment options via Pix or bank slip.
Online meetings take place on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8am to 6pm. When , it is necessary to submit a TCC (course completion work), with monitoring throughout the training. Up to 25% absences are allowed.
