Extension

Last Monday (23), Mendonça, who is the case’s rapporteur, gave 48 hours for the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), to read the request to extend the CPMI’s work.

The minister responded to the request for an injunction made by the president of the commission, senator Carlos Viana (Podemos-MG). According to the senator, Alcolumbre and the Board of Directors failed to receive the extension request.

Earlier, Viana decided to extend the CPMI for up to 120 days and suspended the session until the end of the trial, to await the STF’s final word.
