Drivers have to expect ice or snow in some places. The Slovak Road Administration (SSC) drew attention to this on its website zjazdnost.sk. Poľadovica is located on the second class road Palcmanská Maša – Sykavka. Snow must be expected, especially in hilly areas, mostly in the northern half of central and eastern Slovakia. Drivers must also watch out for falling rocks in some sections of the Donovaly and Šturec mountain passes.
“On the Vernár section (I/66) there is a continuous layer of snow, vehicles are slipping and the situation is dangerous. Road users are already informed. The road is closed for trucks over 10 meters. The section is currently impassable! We ask drivers to be careful and respect the instructions,” the police said on the social network.
Vernár was closed to trucks over 10 meters.
