US must take weapons from Ukraine: they are needed in Iran

US military personnel ran out of essential ammunition in the war in the Middle East. “We’re always doing that.”

O Pentagon are considering divert weapons intended for Ukraine to the Middle East.

According to , the US military have exhausted essential ammunition in the war against Iran.

Interceptor air defense missiles ordered through a new NATO program must be removed from Ukraine – in which, supposedly, partner countries buy North American weapons for Ukraine, to help the country in the war with Russia.

Donald Trump was confronted with the issue this Thursday, in a conversation with journalists, and did not deny it: “We’re always doing that.”

“We have enormous amounts of ammunition, we have ammunition in other countries… and sometimes we take it from one country and use it in another”, commented the US president.

It highlights that this decision reinforces the increasing impact that the war with Iran is having nos stocks of ammunition from Washington.

Since the joint attack with Israel, almost a month ago, the US has already hit more than 10,000 targets.

Kaja Kallas has already reacted: “It is crucial that the promises made to Ukraine in relation to its weapons and defenses, which they need so much, are fulfilled”, warned the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

It is worth remembering that, under the Trump administration, the US has already suspended most military aid to Ukraine – which should feel the effects of this new decision in a month or two.

The US military remains the most powerful in the world and “will ensure that US forces, as well as those of our allies and partners, have what they need to fight and win”, commented a Pentagon spokesperson on The Hill.
