Former first lady spoke to journalists after Jair Bolsonaro arrived home to serve house arrest
The former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro commented at a press conference this Friday (27) about Jair Bolsonaro’s discharge and his going home under house arrest. Michelle said that she will now take “even more care” of the former president and that she is not thinking about politics at the moment. “Zero politics for now. I’m on leave and my priority will always be my husband and my daughters,” he said.
In the midst of speculation about a possible pre-candidacy to the senate in the Federal District, or any involvement in this year’s elections, Michelle said she would give up “anything” to take care of her family.
“It’s incredible, we rejoice in the small victories. I know that God is in charge of all things and it’s the right place. A former presidential candidate, 71 years old, with several comorbidities”, said Michelle about Bolsonaro’s departure to temporarily serve his sentence under house arrest.
Regarding the routine of visits, the former first lady stated that the regime continues as it was in, with visits restricted to specific days and only from the immediate family, which are her children and her. “But that’s okay, the fact that he’s home for me is already a source of great happiness,” he explained.
Bolsonaro’s discharge
O this Friday (27) after staying 14 days hospitalized at the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, undergoing bronchopneumonia treatment. He left the place around 10am and arrived at his condominium around 10:21am, wearing a Military Police bulletproof vest, where he will begin serving house arrest.
“He is balanced and in a good moment. From an emotional point of view, today I found him quieter and more thoughtful. We always respect when he is quieter, to have greater comfort”, said Bolsonaro’s cardiologist, Brasil Caiado.
“The evolution over the last two days was what we expected, calm, without any complications, with the medication fully adapted, with the transition to oral medication, to be used at home”, he concluded.
Caiado reported that, at the end of April, the former president should return to the hospital to undergo surgery on his right shoulder.
Under the authorization of the minister Alexandre de Moraesfrom the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Bolsonaro will be 90 days under house arrestin the family home located in Condomínio Solar de Brasília, in the Federal District.
