São Paulo and Botafogo reached an agreement for the loan of striker Artur. The Glorioso player will go to Tricolor Paulista for one year.
For the deal to be completed, it was necessary to overcome a clause imposed by the attacker’s staff. His team requested that, if a proposal from Qatari football arrived during the loan period, the priority would be to sell the striker, ending the relationship with Tricolor. São Paulo did not accept the agreement.
In the new contract, if an offer arrives, the São Paulo club can activate the purchase option.
The negotiation had to be completed in a short period. The extra state window closes this Friday (27), at 11:59 pm. Botafogo will pay most of the salary during Artur’s loan period at São Paulo, if the transfer goes through.
São Paulo considers that they have an agreement in place with Botafogo, who want to get rid of Artur, as the attacker lost space. However, the clause requested by the staff cooled the deal.
