Case happened in the Campo Limpo region, south of the capital
A municipal civil guard (GCM) from Guarulhos got involved in an exchange of gunfire in the morning this Saturday (28) against military police officers of São Paulo in Campo Limpo, south of the capital.
The PM went to the scene after being called to check an incident with three armed men. According to the incident recordobtained by Young Panwhen approaching the suspects – who, according to the police, showed signs of drunkenness -, one of the municipal guard’s friends allegedly made to grab a gun and was then shot. When questioned, the Secretary of Public Security (SSP-SP) stated that the suspect had shot at the agents, and that was why he was shot.
O The injured man was treated and taken to the emergency room The GCM and another man were detained. According to the incident obtained by the report, the suspect who was shot carried two weapons, one of which belonged to the GCM. The other weapon had been stolen in 2021, in Sorocaba, and belonged to a civil police officer.
Two of the suspects were charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
