Approval reaches lowest level
Trump’s approval dropped 2 percentage points in 1 month and reached 36%. This has been the case since the beginning of his 2nd term, according to a Reuters survey in partnership with Ipsos released on Tuesday (24 March 2026).
The disapproval rate of the American leader is also at its worst level since January 2025. It was 46% when the Republican took office. It rose 16 percentage points in 1 year and 3 months and today reaches 62%.
Reuters/Ipsos asked the following question: “Overall, do you approve or disapprove of the way Donald Trump is doing his job as president?”
The survey was conducted March 20-23 and is based on a nationally representative probability sample using KnowledgePanel®, interviewing 1,016 to 1,272 adults in the United States. The margin of error is 3 percentage points and the confidence level is 95%.
