Seven people were “seriously injured” in Britain when a car plowed into pedestrians on Saturday night in the center of the city of Derby, in central England, police said today.
“The seven people were seriously injured, but their lives are not in danger and we can confirm that contrary to speculation on the internet, no one died,” police noted.
The police authorities arrested a man of Indian origin shortly after the incident in the center of the city of Derby. According to the announcement, police officers stopped the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident shortly after the incident and arrested the driver.
