The next few days in the conflict in the Middle East will be decisive, said US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at a press conference this Tuesday (31), stating that there has been a large abandonment of posts in the Iranian Armed Forces.
“We have more and more options, and they have fewer… in just a month we have established the terms, the next few days will be decisive,” said Hegseth.
“Iran knows this, and there is almost nothing they can do about it militarily,” he added.
Citing intelligence, he said the attacks were damaging the morale of Iranian forces. This, he says, is causing widespread defections, shortages of key staff and frustration among senior leaders.
He also stated that he visited them on Saturday (28) to closely monitor the military operation against Iran.
