Joint bombings by the United States and Israel hit a cancer drug factory and a psychiatric hospital in Iran in recent days, according to state media outlets.
One of Iran’s largest producers of anticancer and anesthetic drugs was hit this Tuesday (31), state broadcaster Irib (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) reported.
Earlier this week, the newly built , suffered significant damage in an attack on the Iranian capital, according to the state news agency IRNA (Islamic Republic News Agency).
Around 30 patients were in the hospital at the time of the attack on Monday night (30), the hospital director told IRNA.
“Doors and windows were broken and the walls of the building were also damaged,” the doctor said.
A CNN reached out to U.S. Central Command and the Israeli Military for comment.
They hit several neighborhoods, killed hundreds of people and left essential services paralyzed. At least 190 have been hit since the war began on February 28, according to Iran’s deputy health minister.
A representative of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Iran said 17 of the organization’s centers were hit and almost 100 ambulances were damaged or destroyed.
“These vehicles are not just equipment. They are often the only hope people have when bombs fall,” said Maria Martinez, head of the delegation in Iran.
