Zenica/Prishtina (Pristina) – Italy has to watch the World Cup for the third time in a row. In a dramatic decider in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Squadra Azzurra’s World Cup dream was shattered on Tuesday after being long outnumbered 4-1 on penalties. After 120 minutes the score was 1-1. Turkey qualified for a World Cup for the first time in 24 years with a narrow 1-0 win in Kosovo led by former ÖFB team boss Franco Foda, while Sweden celebrated a late 3-2 win against Poland in the play-off final.
