For the first time in the history of Brazilian bodybuilding, the country’s greatest athletes will be honored in a gala night. The event in question is the Horsepower Awards, which will take place on the 22nd, in the auditorium of Uniguaçu College (Avenida Paulista, 967), in São Paulo.
With the right to the red carpet, bodybuilders who were international highlights last season will be honored with statuettes, as well as coaches and institutional representatives.
Creator of the project and owner of Horsepower Pro, Hugo Abbá describes the event as “the Oscar of Brazilian bodybuilding”, inspired by the award aimed at cinema. Still according to the athlete and digital influencer, the objective is to reward and recognize the highlights of national sport.
The ceremony will be broadcast live for members of the public who are unable to attend.
Last year, the awards — which included the 2024 season — had taken place in a more modest way. This will be the first in-person edition of the event.
