The state deputy for São Paulo (Mission) declared this Saturday (April 4, 2026) that he thought about “absurd hypothesis” of abortion together with his ex-girlfriend, Giovana Pereira. He stated, however, that this “sinful thought” passed in a few hours and today “thank God” They are parents of a 1 year old girl.
“I’ve already asked Giovana’s family for forgiveness and I’ve asked Giovana’s forgiveness too because I’m ashamed”declared Guto.
In a video published on his Instagram profile alongside Giovana, Guto said that they “they made the right decision” to have his daughter and he did not force his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion.
Watch (5min45s):
Giovana said in the video that “it was never forced” nothing for her then boyfriend and who regretted the police report made when she was pregnant and has already asked for the case to be closed. She claimed to have been “poorly instructed by a lawyer”.
“There was a fight, instability, I went through a difficult period and was advised by a lawyer. I acted on impulse”declared Giovana.
According to Guto, the accusations are political persecution in an election year. “The decline in an election year has started. Our growth towards the Chamber of Deputies is bothering a lot of people”he declared.
The Psol Feminist Bench filed a request to revoke the state deputy’s mandate for breach of decorum. The document was delivered to the Alesp Ethics Council (Legislative Assembly of São Paulo) on Thursday (April 2, 2026).
The Public Ministry filed a formal complaint against Guto in July 2025 and framed the case under the Maria da Penha Law. According to the complaint, he pressured his ex-girlfriend to have an abortion and practiced psychological violence against her.
According to the complaint, from 2024 to the beginning of 2025, after the end of the relationship, Guto would have started sending messages and audios trying to influence Giovana’s decision. He also allegedly suggested the use of clandestine clinics insisting that the pregnancy be terminated.
