The senator (-RJ) stated that he had no obligation to warn his allies in advance about his relationship with the banker and the charge for amounts allocated, according to him, to the film about former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).
“There is absolutely nothing wrong. I don’t have to justify anything to anyone. It was a time back when I was looking for an investor, when Vorcaro was all over the place, sponsored events on various television stations, circulated among authorities. He was someone who was even courted throughout Brazil. It was at that time that he agreed to make a private investment in a private film. There’s nothing more to it than that”, stated the senator.
The statement was made at the headquarters of the Military Police of Rio de Janeiro, where the senator delivered weapons and vehicles acquired through a parliamentary amendment of his authorship.
Flávio said he did not consider Vorcaro’s contribution a sensitive topic.
“Sensitive why? They were private investments. You bought a car, do you have to tell everyone? You invested income in your bank, do you have to tell everyone?”, he said.
As shown by Sheetthe fact that he said publicly and privately, in March, that he did not know Vorcaro led to a breach of trust between allies and members of the right.
The problem, his allies believe, was Flávio lying to his own supporters and also publicly about not having any relationship with Vorcaro. The audio revealed shows the pre-candidate calling the Master’s owner “brother”. Messages also demonstrate closeness, including conversations about dinner at the former banker’s house.
