“Iran will not stand idly by in the face of such serious war crimes. It will exercise, without hesitation, its inherent right to self-defense and take immediate and proportionate reciprocal measures,” Iravani said.
The Iranian representative also called on the international community to intervene and condemn Trump’s statements before it is too late.

At the UN, Iravani also condemned the proposed resolution on the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, calling it “unilateral, biased and indefensible”.
Promise of more attacks
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also reacted to Donald Trump’s threats. The group said it would respond outside the region if the United States attacks civilian facilities.

To date, Iran has attacked American bases and US-allied countries in the region, including Israel, which also participates directly in the conflict.
The Revolutionary Guard also stated that it will deprive the United States and its allies of oil and gas “for many years” if the country crosses “red lines”, as Trump threatened.
