Secretary of NO, the economist joined Novo this Monday (6) to run for the position of federal deputy.
In the campaign, Cintra will once again defend the proposal to implement a single tax and plans to take the stage alongside Romeu Zema, Novo’s pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic.
He even made himself available to assist Zema in building the government program.
“I really like Zema. Of everyone, I think he’s the one who is far from the scandals. Flávio ended up being unexpected good news, and Zema has the same strength of thought”, said Cintra.
“The polarization has returned, the [Gilberto] Kassab kept playing with the idea of a third way, but he lost the timing”, he continued.
Professor at FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas), Cintra was a councilor in São Paulo and a deputy between 1999 and 2003, at the time for the PL. In 2019, he was appointed special secretary of the Federal Revenue by the then minister (). In 2024, he collaborated with Pablo Marçal’s government program in the campaign for mayor of São Paulo.
“The Novo Party is the most innovative from the point of view of staff and ideas, I’m happy and I want to be able to contribute in the tax area, in public and budget management”, stated Cintra.
