The senator and pre-candidate for president in the 2026 elections, (PL-RJ), declared that the only certainty he has is that the president (PT) will no longer be president of Brazil from 2027. The statement was made this Friday (April 10, 2026) in a conversation with journalists at in Porto Alegre.
The event brought together political leaders, including (PSD-GO), the governor (Novo-MG), and (DC), all pre-candidates for the Planalto.
Asked about the other pre-candidates for president, the senator reinforced that the names are important for the debate and that he did not see a “pulverization”.
The senator stated that the problem is not the right-wing political camp, but the left, which has only one candidate. He referred to Lula as “expired merchandise” e “fatigued product”with no one who can replace him.
Regarding the construction of a broad front to bring together pre-candidates, the senator stated that this will happen naturally. “Whether in the first moment, in the election, if there is in the 2nd round, I think this will happen naturally. There is a convergence of everyone so that Brazil can prosper again, the first step is to remove the PT from the government”.
