An emergency patient had to be flown from Upper Austria to the Vienna General Hospital


According to a report by the Crown newspaper A 51-year-old man in Upper Austria suffered a tear in his main artery on Good Friday – a highly acute and life-threatening diagnosis. Although the rescue chain worked smoothly, a total of six hospitals had to be contacted in order to ultimately find an operating room in the Vienna General Hospital, as the operating rooms in the other hospitals were full and capacities were therefore exhausted.
