Paris – The new winning face at tennis Grand Slam level is called Mirra Andrejewa. The 19-year-old Russian won the surprise final of the French Open against Polish qualifier Maja Chwalinska 6:3,6:2 on Saturday. This year’s Linz winner received 2.8 million euros for her major premiere victory, Chwalinska was happy about half. Andrejewa, seeded number eight, climbs to sixth place in the WTA, her opponent from 114 to 21.
