The project of proposes to allocate 2% of the revenue from operators of fixed-odd betting lotteries, known as bets, to the (National Social Assistance Fund). The proposal is under analysis in the Chamber of Deputies.
According to the author of the project, deputy (Solidarity-MA), the objective is to guarantee continuous and regular budget reinforcement for the provision of services, programs and social assistance benefits to the population.
Currently, the which handles the collection of bets, allocates 10% of the total to social security. The project under analysis divides the percentage: 8% will continue with social security, and 2% will go directly to the FNAS.
NEXT STEPS
The project will be conclusively analyzed by the Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family committees; Finance and Taxation; and Constitution and Justice and Citizenship. To become law, the text will have to be approved by the Chamber and the Senate.
