Slobodan Šnajder continues his Yugoslavia trilogy with “Angel of Disappearance”.


With his period novel published in 2019 Repairing the worlda family story that begins with the Danube cockroaches and ends after the violent experience of the 20th century in the disintegrating Yugoslavia, the Croatian author Slobodan Šnajder has written himself into the great tradition of South Slavic fiction. In the new novel he concentrates the events on his hometown Zagreb, more precisely, a certain street, the Ilica, and even more precisely, an apartment building built in 1911 with different parties.
