CCDR Algarve brings together mayors and Government to accelerate the implementation of Portugal 2030

The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) promoted, on April 9, a working meeting dedicated to accelerating the implementation of the Portugal 2030 program.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of State for Planning and Regional Development, Hélder Reis, as well as mayors and managers from various public entities in the region.

The main objective of the meeting was to align measures to accelerate the execution of European funds, ensuring compliance with the N+3 rule and reinforcing the territory’s response capacity.

During the meeting, investments considered strategic for the Algarve were analyzed, particularly in the areas of water, waste, the school network, higher education, culture and health.

In the latter sector, differentiated responses were highlighted, including health centers, as essential infrastructure for the implementation of public policies with a direct impact on the population.

Reinforced institutional cooperation

The presence of the Secretary of State was seen as a sign of the importance of coordination between the different entities, with a view to ensuring that the ALGARVE 2030 funds translate into concrete results for the region.
