A lightning robbery left a family in the center of Viseu in shock, after two men managed to break down an armored door in just 18 seconds.
The crime took place in broad daylight, around 10:30 am, in an apartment located on the top floor of a building. Video surveillance cameras captured the moment the suspects, believed to be of Georgian nationality, forced their way in with impressive speed.
Once inside the house, the duo stayed for around six minutes, exploring the house until they found, in the bedroom, a jewelry box with several valuable pieces in gold and silver, such as watches, rings, bracelets and earrings.
The loss exceeded R$15,000 and left the family deeply shaken. Since then, the owners say they don’t feel safe returning to sleep in the house, opting to stay with relatives.
The victim believes that the robbers are experienced, highlighting the ease with which they managed to enter, as if they already knew the method or even the door itself.
The case was reported to the PSP, which is already analyzing the video surveillance images in an attempt to identify and locate the suspects.
