The minister of the (Supreme Federal Court) responded to the request of the Federal Police and authorized the opening of an investigation to investigate the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic (-RJ) on suspicion of slander against the president (PT).

The Federal Police stated that Flávio falsely attributed these crimes to the President of the Republic and asked Moraes to open an investigation for slander. The PGR (Attorney General’s Office) spoke in the case and agreed, saying it saw evidence that Flávio had committed the crime.
“The requested measure is supported by a publication made in a public virtual environment, accessible to thousands of users, in which criminal facts are falsely attributed, in a public and vexatious manner, to the President of the Republic”, wrote the Prosecutor’s Office.
In response to the request, Moraes authorized the opening of the investigation, lifted the confidentiality of the files and gave the Federal Police 60 days to take the appropriate measures.
